Hi all,

I'm new to the forum, looking to get myself over to Korea to start teaching around September time.

Do any of you know any good recruitment agencies that I could go through? Anyone had any positive experiences of these?

I have done some reading on here and I know some people believe it best to get yourself over there first and then look for a job but I really dont think I could do that without anything being organised!

Thanks,

Sam

Heyas!

The two recruiters I've been using have been Adventure Teaching and Flying Cows Consulting.

I wholeheartedly recommend Adventure Teaching because so far I have had only the best support from them. I work with Scot who is always really easily reached and does his absolute best to help me out with all my questions (and some of my questions have been far less than straightforward and he still got them answered!). They also have a great facebook page and blog set up so you can get information on stuff going on in Korea and people who are out there already... I just think that they have a really great personalised service, which is why I signed up with them in the first place. I just hope they stay that good in the future, because I'm pretty sure they'll make it big.

Flying Cows Consulting is actually a UK based company, which is why I will recommend them to you. I'm only going to half recommend them to you though as I actually think their level of service has gone down a bit since I first signed up with them. I met them about 3 years ago in person at a University job fair and they were lovely people. I first signed up with them after I first graduated in 2008. Back then they were great about staying in contact and would phone me up and email me to make sure I was ok with the paperwork and stuff. This time around, I have to say they have been a little bit slow on the communication front and it has taken up to 4 days for me to get a reply from them. Admittedly though I no longer live in the UK, which probably does explain the lack of phone calls. Having said that, I have received a few job offers from them, which haven't looked too bad and have been targeted towards what I asked them to look for, so that is definitely good. Therefore I will still recommend you go with them as I do believe they do work hard to try and find you the kind of job you want.

Good luck with your job hunt! Very Happy

These guys seem very thorough and professional, based on their website. Only recruiter I've seen that requests references in the application.
