A couple of days ago my students were taken out of class by the school nurse for 'tests'. My Korean co-teacher explained that they were "PISS TESTS". I doubted my hearing but he wrote it on the board so there was no doubt about the nature of the tests.

Later, a western friend explained that the results of these urine tests are kept for 15 years so that the health of Koreans can be assessed over a long period.

Seems like a good idea but I did have to laugh over the way my Korean co-teacher explained the tests.

OK I'll entertain you with the remote possibility we'll get together sometime.

I'd shoot through with that long up my sleeve and grab some sashimi at the Dept. store. Maybe look through the market. Go home and sleep. Ruminate on the fortunes of the people around me, my place in the pantheon etc etc.

Draw a couple of drawings, dream on about framing the poster size photos I got developed last year. Contemplate buying a smaller car. Think about visiting Immigration next week to prep another E2 for the job I start next month...(I have a free hour now).

Anything else...?

Have a good day, but whatever it is you're doing, produce something in excess of that you consume... that's my credo, for what its worth.

Kind regards

Squid

PS piss tests, what next Rolling Eyes

You could make haikus or limericks about all the teachers around you.

There once was a teacher of math...

So how many other teachers are sitting around doing nothing but demanding that others entertain them? Laughing
