I live in Nowon and I am looking for Bruce K Grant's Guide to Korean Characters. Anyone know a good bookstore in the area where I can start looking?

It's doubtful that you'll find a copy of that book in any regular big-name bookstore in the entire Seoul. Kyobo doesn't have it, neither does Youngpoong nor Bandi&Luni's.

You can forget Nowon area, your best (if not the only) shot could be this shop in Jongno:

awesome, ill give them a call tomorrow. Even if they don't have this book, I'd still like to know a decent bookstore in my (relative) area. Where is the closest Kyobo or large bookstore?

Bandi and Luni's at Coex is probably the closest big store to Nowon. srsly. 7 to Cheongdam exit 2, 10 minute walk. otherwise, it's Whatthebook or the big Jongno stores.

If you're taking Line 7 anyway, then Youngpoong inside 'Central City' mall (Express Bus Terminal) is quite huge. No need to walk much from Line 7 platforms, at least compared to COEX Mall.
