Are you really to damn lazy to type the words TOEFL Practice Tests in Google?
Will they take the computer, IBT, or paper test? Now I must admit that I am most familiar with the paper test and the relative scoring on that version. However the material is similar in all three but format is different.
Most students have difficulty with the reading comprehension. The old method of TWE was difficult also but not everyone takes it. I am not even sure if it is done anymore. You were given a situation, chart, graph or question and had 30 minutes to write a logical argument. Even as a native speaker that can be challenging if you are not used to writing quickly.
The TOEFL is easier than the TOEIC in my opinion because TOEIC uses too many idioms.
Personally, I would tell your students to go find another teacher that knows what he/she is doing. If you cannot even do a little ground work on your own, you have no business teaching a subject that will affect their future study.

I teach for free on YouTube. You tell my students to get another free teacher. That's like telling an orphanage to get new volunteers. I spend 5 hours a day posting free videos to thousands of people all over the world. I've never seen a TOEFL test. How am I supposed to type in Google and get the relevant test for 2010 or 2011? |

I bet the 2010/2011 test will be similar to the 2009 test. I bet you could also find a 2009 test. I bet you could use the 2009 test to study for future tests. I bet you have no clue . |

YBI has a free sample on line, i do not know the website, but I am sure that google will get it.
There is a lot to getting a good score. It is not always reflective of their English ability. |

They have a lot of grammar multiple choice questions don't they? Like this for example.
You have no business teaching a subject that will ________their future study.
a) effect
b) affect
c) deflect

Speaking, Wring, Listening and Reading are the 4 components.
Just go to the ETS site and look over the test there.
If these students are using these scores to get into (good) university, Id probably refer them to someone else.
Prepping students get 118-120 scores is not something beginner should try and tackle.
Korean Universities are ridiculous with their requirements these days. |

My God. The OP asked a simple question. He appears to have students who asked for help with TOEFL, and he does not appear to have TOEFL experience.
Now, he's all of a sudden a terrible teacher who has no business teaching English?
Anyways, I recommend doing a google search to get an idea of the format and picking up a TOEFL book or two to get an idea of what the students should be focusing on. I'm guessing they'll be taking the IBT since that seems to be a bit more common. |

Such arrogance and hatred within the elite TOEFL test community. Not a place for me. See ya. |
