Posting this here because it's worked great today and the idea cookbook hasn't accepted new submissions since 2k7 (really?)


So korea lost. Here's a chance to relive defeat.

The game:

Prepare review questions or use vocab (def or spelling)

Teams are groups. About 5-10 minutes per game works well.

Pass, pass, shoot. Each pass is completed by successfully answering a question. Third move downfield is scoring position and a striker faces off agaisnt a keeper for paper rock scissors.

Shots are taken by the third person after answering a question correctly.

Either team can answer a question and the team to answer correctly first gets the move.

If groups are noisy or disruptive, red cards are issued. Also, if students aren't taking turns issue a card. And giving cards randomly is fun too. Just say you're a bad ref.

Free kicks are determined by paper rock scissors.
