I just got back to North America after teaching in Korea. I'm going to start ESL teaching here at home - 40 hours of class time a week with two groups of students (20 hours each group). It's 10 hours of class time, 4 days a week. 8 am - 1 pm and 6 pm - 11 pm (not to mention prep time). I just worked 2 months at this school but only 20 teaching hours a week. I'm pretty familiar with the program and enjoy it. The only thing I'm worried about is being able to fit in time for rest. Has anyone ever juggled this type of schedule? Any tips for relaxing? I have a feeling it's going to be a heckish week and then crash out all weekend? The money is incredible, so it's well worth it. I just don't wanna pull an apocalypse now and go insane in the process.
Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks! |
