I'm looking for one myself right now, and Asus seems to be the brand to beat- they get great reviews on every site I've seen. Beyond that, a lot depends on what you need in a laptop. How important is processing power, a big hard drive, battery life, etc?

What kind of work do you do, and do you play video games?

The UL50 would do just fine for regular use.......I might want to do some light gaming so I'd go for the better graphics of the UL80.....but if you don't care about games then save some moola and get the UL50.

I think it can just about output 1080p to a large screen TV too.

I'm not into gaming but I'd like to be able to browse the Web and type with problem.

I find that the LG laptops have the more comfortable keyboards but I'd think Samsung is better. I also know several people who have Macbooks (one bought it in Korea, the other in the U.S.) and are quite satisified with them.

I own an HP Mini 311 and so far everything works well for me. I do a bit of work there, browse, play music and do some basic stuff. Smile
