hi all,
if any of the forum experts can please advise,
do i need to get the employment certificate from my last hogwan as proof of my work in korea...to be paid the correct pay level at GEPIK/SMOE/EPIK?
From my last hagwon job i have; the signed contract, bank statements and a signed reference letter and a scan of my alien card. will this be enough, or will they (GEPIK/SMOE/EPIK) need the employment certificate?
thanks in advance for any answers..

hi
In my experience they need the proof of employment certificate from your ex employer....(this will include the official seal and Korean stamp thingy)
It also has to be for a full year/completed contract term...I left one hagwon after 8 months so that did not qualify me for as much of an increase....so instead of taking 4 years into consideration only 3 were (as only 3 of them were "full years")
Does that make sense? ^^
I have worked for both SMOE and GEPIK (and their requirements are the same for the proof of employment to obtain a higher pay scale)...if you have completed an ESL qualification make sure you submit the original certificate with 120 complete hours.... |
