Hi, a question for a friend.
She's finishing up her hagwon job on July 21. She's starting a new uni job on Sept.1. She's hoping to not leave the country between contracts. What are her options.
Thanks! |

Unless the new school is willing to put her under contract and sponsorship starting on July 22 her only option is a visa run to change jobs (this does mean leave the country for at least a day).
If you meant so that she can stay in Korea from July until Sept there is also no option for that long without leaving the country first.
(switching from E2 to tourist only gets you a maximum of 30 days and requires an exit ticket).
IF she leaves the country on the 22nd and returns on the 22nd she will get a 90 day tourist stamp which will be enough to carry her through to the new job and visa run.

What if you don't have a current criminal background check because they are only good for 6 months. Can you get a Korean crc or something? |
