I discovered matcha a few weeks back on a regular trip to homeplus. Maybe it was new, maybe I just never noticed it before, but between the price and ease, I've become hooked.

It's basically just green tea leaves crushed into a fine powder which then very easily mixes with water (or milk, or yogurt). Starbucks uses it to make a sadly overpriced green tea latte (only with sugar, ewwwww)

I read that 5 cups of matcha a day burns 70 calories. I also think it works as an appetite suppressant.

I started putting unknown amounts in my water bottle and drinking it every morning. Sometimes it can makeme feel sick since my stomach is empty. But I do think the appetite suppressant quality is real. The caffeine boosts my mood gently also and gives me the energy I need to be a happy kindy teacher for the day.

Is anyone else as obsessed as me? What ways do you have you matcha fix? I just get the Home Plus brand in the shake container. It contains 50 servings so I think I have about 5-6 most days. Do you feel any healthier? (I think I do).

Share your love of matcha in this thread!
