I'm leaning towards working an after school position in the fall and doing a legal part time teaching gig.

However I noticed the vast majority ask for F-visa holders. I know friends on an E-2 who do this, but I'm curious if those job asking for F-visa's will accept E-2s already sponsered by another company who are allowed to work part time jobs.

Also, how hard is it to find part gigs for those on e-2 visas? Does it take while to find a decent one?

If you want a second job legally, you need permission from your school and approval from immigration (which costs 60,000 won)

You also need to have your second job lie about your pay because you ar e not allowed to make more money or work more hours at your second job. Another big caveat is thatyour second job CANNOT be for a private company. So no hagwons or teaching something specialized (Business English, test prep etc) which is where the part-time money is at. I've heard of peopple slipping through the cracks but most of the time immi will not accept yoru request when you apply for the additional E2 for your second job. Also, may places don't want to lie to immigration about pay or be bothered with all of the rules so they will jsut ask for F2/F4 only. I've tried to apply to these places before to teach business English part-time and when they saw my visa (E2) they promptly rejected me. An after-school program is your only bet because it is public.

So after school + something else is the best way to go about this?

Should I have the after school program sponsor my visa or part time gig? Would it even matter?

You can apply for a parttime gig that hires teachers as agents. I work for a telephone English company and we have a lot of parttimers with E-2 visas. The pay isn't spectacular but it's pretty good extra income for work you can do during your free hours.

I would look at the contracts and see which one is better (possibly the part time gig). Many after-school programs are run like hakwons (lots of teaching hours, and penalties for leaving early) so you don't want to be at their mercy as their sponsored employee.

I'm curious if Immi will let me get a second job depending on who is sponsoring my Visa.

I've actually had two jobs legally(technically 3 at one point) between a PS gig and a after school gig with a hagwon....

According to the guy 2 post above if I tried to work at two hagwons, immi would likely tell me to get lost....

I've also heard Immi is much more accepting of public school + private side gig work.

I just don't wanna get some part time gig and have Immi constantly refusing second job requests leaving me with 1.8 million a month.
