I am wondering if all Western teachers are able to get the Pension money as we are paying taxes here. If this is the case do you have to finish your contract- or can you still receive this money upon leaving a contract early?? |

If you are Canadian or American then you should be able to get the money back. It doesn't matter if you are leaving your contract early as these are government organizations. You only have to ensure that your school owner was paying the money he or she was withholdling for pension.
If they didn't pay the money then you are out of luck. Check with your local pension office to see if the money has been paid. After that, you can apply for your lump sum refund when you get back to Canada or the US.
If you are not Canadian or American then you are out of luck as only Canada and the US have a reciprocal agreement with Korea for pension money.
Check out some of the threads on this board. There's lots of info on pension if you search it out.
