My place is going to be wallpapered and the landlady will let me choose which paper.

There's a living room, two bedrooms, and a small kitchen. I'm thinking sage green for the living room, a shade of red for a bedroom, a shade of blue for the other, and maybe yellow for the kitchen?

Any suggestions?

I want to go in person to look at wallpaper can anyone point me in the right direction? Where are all the wallpaper shops. My place is in the itaewon area.

Looking online might be a mistake I think.

Any ideas for color would be appreciated as well. I'm working around three sofas.

living room: black sofa

bedroom: red sofa

bedroom: grey sofa

Thanks!

If I'm not mistaken, you can find wallpaper at HomePlus, can't you? It's those rolls of stuff with the prints on them... or are those just appliques? (I'm honestly not trying to be sarcastic.) I have always wanted a roll of the zebra print stuff for along one of my walls as an accent wall. (I'm a zebra print fanatic.)

Yes, you can get wallpaper at HomePlus, EMart, or other large store like that. There are also interior stores where you can buy wallpaper and they may have a better selection.

HomePlus/Emart/etc. also have wall stickers that you can decorate with, and some of them are quite lovely. There is a gargantuan selection of stickers on Gmarket, as well.

I recommend a somewhat neutral shade, and then decorate with wall stickers as you please. Unless you are going to be in the apartment for quite some time, please don't force the next tenant to have to cover up leopard print or something like that. (at least I have been told that wallpaper is *generally* the tenant's responsibility - hence why I have crappy, peeling yellowing once-white wallpaper in my apartment that I haven't fixed) Anyway, that's my personal feeling on it.

I like your color choices except for the red sofa room - I'd choose a silver/blueish gray because it will help the entire home blend together - the red, even a light rose, would be a bit contrasty to the other colors you've chosen. you want to keep it together in a good palette.

your kitchen, yes, yellow, or how about mango? I've always been partial to that in kitchens and it does blend well with the other colors especially green - depends on how close the black sofa is to it tho - if it seems too close, perhaps not.

would love to see pix when you're finished - please do share!
