Does anyone blog in Korean as language practice?

I started a few days ago as another way to improve my Korean language skills. Some friends starting commenting and I've enjoyed it so far.

I was curious if anyone else was doing this. I'd love to communicate more in Korean through this blog. My level? Far from fluent, but above basic. I guess that would make me intermediate.

It would be great to be able to write, read, comment, etc. with a number of people who are looking to improve their Korean. If you have a Korean blog, I'd love to read it.

Crossing my fingers...

That's an interesting idea. I looked at your blog, and I'd say you and I have about the same level of Korean. Maybe I should give blogging in Korean a shot, too.

I've wanted to for so long, but I have been really lazy... Maybe this will inspire me to start.

Do you have random Koreans commenting on your blog, or mostly just friends?

Just my wife, friends, and in-laws so far. Starting in the fall, some of my students will probably jump on there too.

I don't think Koreans I don't know would ever find it or care if they did.

Here's mine. I started about a month ago... I'm probably a much lower level than you.

That's a great idea actually, i've only been here a couple of months and am trying to teach myself Korean but might give it a go anyway. Any practice is good I guess!

I kept a Korean-language blog but found it extremely difficult. I've had an English-language blog for 7 years, so I felt like writing in Korean wasn't nearly as fun.

I've switched to Tweeting in Korean since then. A full blog post is very painstaking, but Tweeting in Korean (140 characters goes a long way in Korean) is easier and there's more interaction.

I've blogged in Korean (and other languages I've learned) and found that to stay motivated it helped to tell NS friends about the blog and ask them to comment on it.

Good idea about tweeting in Korean. I've tried it in Chinese, but since twitter's blocked on the mainland, it can feel rather empty.

Yeah, I'm hoping some more people get motivated and post their sites here.

Well, a couple of us are giving it a try. I've only just started but I can tell you it's helping tremendously with my writing and vocabulary.

Bueller? Bueller?
