I was wondering if anyone has ever purchased traveler's insurance here? I mean the kind that pays for hospital bills in the country you're traveling to.

Any ideas or suggestions appreciated!

Thanks! Have you ever had to make a claim? I'm not anticipating anything happening, but just in case!

Also, are there any places in Korea that off it?

Fortunately not! And I don't know anyone who has. They market their services towards people doing more adventurous travel, as in they consider the fact that people will partake in outdoorsy activities, etc, which is why I like them.

You can start your policy while you are already traveling and you can extend it while traveling too. You sign up online and rates are determined by where you are a permanent resident, so basically that would mean wherever you want to be repatriated to if there was a major medical emergency, death.

Wish I could tell you more about claims but perhaps a search would give you and idea. There's an interview on the indie travel podcast website that I listened to a while ago where they speak to a rep from world nomads, so that's worth checking out as well. Just search for indie travel podcast on the apple website thingie.^^
