Many on this board are familiar with Peter Schiff. I didn't know his father was actually in prison for not paying taxes. He was also a prominent economist in his own right. I read much of, but didn't finish his book, How An Economy Grows And Why It Doesn't

I've seen a few of his books. His son is going to release them again. IS is, I think, in jail for tax evasion.

They may have charged him with tax evasion, but the real reason he's in jail is because he's an idiot.

this blew me away.

So the stimulus was really just a way for the government to impose higher tax on its people without actually having to raise taxes. Quite brilliant in the way they do it, and make it sound like it's something intended to help us.
