Hello,
I am relocating to a uni in Jochiwon, and I am wondering what the rents are like there or in the close cities, Cheonan or Taejon? I had one girl respond on Facebook re:Cheonan and the rent she paid, but would love to hear ANY info on this.

I will not be able to put huge key money down--maybe 6 million at the most.

Your question can not be answered. Rents can be 300,000 - 1,000,000
Some places ask 2,000,000 key money, some ask 60,000 key money. Some have no key money.

My apartment in Cheonan is 440,000 per month, and no key money. I have a nice (but real small) apartment with an airconditioner in a great small building.
Other apartments around the corner have 3,000,ooo key money down, 350,000 a month, and are full of mold.

Transportation here is OK, but not great, so you had better look for a place close to your University. See if they will help you.
