|
|
Hi all,
I need a quick bit of help. I have a computer that I got in the U.S. and I just can't get it to type in Hangul. I tried to go into the keyboard settings and add Korean as an option. It looks like I did that correctly but still no change. I am running Windows 7 home premium. On the bottom right of my toolbar I now have a little button that says 'EN' for English and I can change it to KO' for Korean, but still no change. The other languages on the keyboard layout have other symbols and foreign letters, but the Korean one just looks the same as English. Anyways, I'm sure there is a simple fix for this, but I could really use some help. Did anyone else have this same problem and figure it out, or at least figure out a workaround? I am sick of having to go to a website and click each individual symbol.
Thanks in advance everyone.

There should be an A and then a big chinese hanja symbol, after you press EN to become KO...
If so, just click the A and it changes to 가. then you're in Hanghoul. If not, then you probably need to install the language pack, which should have come in an automatic update, so if you have that turned off or something, just find the language pack on a microsoft website. |

once you do the above, what globby recommended, for each different program that you're in, you'll need to hit Alt + Shift to change from English-only keyboard to Korean Keyboard or Microsoft IME.
i recommend only installing Microsoft IME instead of that and Korean Keyboard.
to switch back and forth quickly from Roman alphabet to hangul, once IME is engaged ( you'll see a little "KO" with a little globe and a pencil), hit the Alt key or your keyboard's "한/영" key.... |
