I haven't seen anything posted about it on here, but does anyone know of anything going on?

I heard there's going to be fireworks on base, and if you can't get on, then you can watch nearby at the Museum of Korea...

Just wondering if there's any dinner things in Itaewon or something similar?

and please no America bashing...just looking to celebrate with a few friends.

Only thing I know is you can get American hot dogs and BBQ sauce at the Red Door and do a BBQ. Most grocery marts sell shoe box sized grills and charcoal. And then you can watch a video of last years fireworks in your favorite all American place. Sorry, I didn't know of any festivities outside of what the US military are privately doing.

I realize that it's too late now, but for future reference, they will allow Americans to go on base for Independance day fireworks if they bring their passport. This year at Yongsan, you had to go in through gate 17 and walk a good distance to the viewing location. I don't know if this changes from year to year or not, you will want to check before you go. Also, if you have your ARC card and a military friend to sign you on, you will go through gate 10. Each soldier can take 4 people on at any one time.

That's good to know. Americans here next year need to know this. Probably had American food concessions set up too as a real treat. Only problem for me doing this would had been getting a bus home as they stop early with last bus departing Seoul being 9:40pm with nearly 2 hours over the road after that time.

That depends where you live. You can get buses to Bundang and other nearby cities until midnight.
