|
|
Hi guys,
I need to book a flight home to Dublin from Seoul for Thurs 22nd July but so far the cheapest I can find is W1,400,000. Something sounds over-priced about this. I've tried skyscanner.net and cheapflights.ie.
Anyone know any better site?
Thanks |

Before you start poking around Korean flight search engines, beware that the way fare is quoted is different on those Korean websites.
Let's say Expedia, for example, shows USD 1500 for ICN-DUB return. Then that's pretty much the net amount you pay, ignoring a few dollars of admin fee.
On Korean websites, on the other hand, only the fare portion is quoted while TAX+fuel surcharge portion is either hidden or given as estimates. Therefore, even if you found some KRW 700000 return deal with SAS, don't go yee-ha on that just yet, because the other portion could go up as high as the fare itself.
One year return Seoul-Shanghai-London on Virgin Atlantic currently sells at KRW 592k, but the additional TAX portion is KRW 605k, hence KRW 1200k net payment. The same goes for all other tickets.
Anyway, July 22? Kinda doubtful that seats are still available... but good luck. |

Try ebookers http://www.ebookers.com/flights/
and also try looking for flights to Manchester and Heathrow/Gatwick, Dublin is quite expensive to get too from Seoul (as if you didn't know that) |

need to understand korean. and as the above poster says, it wont include taxes. however you can click a button and it will show the tax separate before you go any further so you get a good idea. i just got a good deal on there going to london at chuseok.
or, dont rule out the travel agents, they are not usually that expensive. i use O&J travel in itaewon and she is good, and more importantly, honest. quite often i haven't been able to beat her prices. |
