				Hi everyone,

Could you please let me know: can I get a C4 VISA in Fukuoka using my original diploma (and sealed transcripts & 5-month-old CBC stamped by my embassy in Seoul)?

Do the new E2 Visa diploma apostile requirements apply to a C4 visa? I got one in Fukuoka with the same documents just this past July.

Korea's Immigration website seems to indicate C4 is fine with the original diploma, but has anyone been issued a C4 lately (in Fukuoka?) using their original diploma?

I'm going to call the consulate in Fukuoka tomorrow morning, of course, and Korean Immigration as well. Meanwhile, it's all a one-week-till-the-job-starts-rush-rush-to-Japan issue, so it'd be great to get your thoughts & put my mind at ease.

Thanks very much! |

				| You will have to contact the consulate directly. I am in the process of getting a C4 from the Korean consulate in Sydney - even though the Korean immigration website said an original diploma is acceptable, this consulate requires a diploma with apostille attached as well as a CRC with an apostille attached. |

Interestingly, my country is not a member of the apostille treaty.

Update: Fukuoka consulate says the apostille/notarization is required for C4. Original diplomas will not do. |

				| I was just told by both a recruiter and a potential employer that you need an apostilled copy. No more original. They had gotten the info by talking directly to two different consulates in Japan. One was Fukuoka and I think the other was Okinawa. Immigration needs to get their act together and keep the website info up to date. |

You can use an apostilled original. Always could. |
