Hi guys,
Your input is appreciated.
Right now I'm working in Jeollanamdo. I'm thinking of transferring to Gangwando next year. According to a coordinator in Gangwando, if I want to transfer 1) I need all the documents as if I were brand new to the country. 2) I will start at level 1 (1st year) in Gangwando even if now I'm in 1+ in Jeollanamdo.
It's not that I don't trust this coordinator, please verify if you were in a similar situation.
Thanks. |

yep did it this year switching provinces and everything needs to be done again. Lucky for me before I left for Korea I brought 2-3x of each original document and made copies/scans. I was a level 2 last year and still a level 2 this year since I am considered new. I also had to go to the new person's orientation but it was good times. Immigration at ph # 1345 or your local office can tell you exactly what you need.
It was worth it because I am a lot happier in my new position/environment here. |

I'm aware that I need new documents: police check, transcripts, etc...
I'm wondering is that I won't go home until Jan/Feb 2011 to get a new police check and transcripts. I only have the original degree with me right now. Will they (EPIK) wait all of my documents to arrive AND secure a placement for me in time for March 2011?
Million thanks as usual.
PS: I already checked, my parents cannot get a police check on my behalf (at least not from my local police station) |

I think there's a way for you to get your fingerprints taken in Seoul, sent to your home country, processed, cleared, and sent to your home address. Then your parents can send it to you. Not sure where you're from but I was able to do that from Taiwan and sent to California.
