Okay- if you've seen my thread on the job forum, you know I want a release letter from my job- NOW. I refuse to run, but I've heard they wont' give me a release letter if I ask them for it directly.

Your mission should you choose to accept:
HELP ME GET FIRED- FAST!

I won't do anything illegal, and I'm out to get the management- not the students. I'm open to almost any idea though. .

I think getting fired would be easy.
There are plenty of options....

try making a pass on the director's wife or husband. Shocked

(edited: i added "or husband")

Take the poor hygiene route and become a greasy pig.

Don't brush your teeth or your hair.
Don't shower, especially after working out.
Fart and burp in the directors office.
Don't iron your clothes
Don't shave
Scratch your bag in the middle of the office.

It's pretty disgusting, but funny since I won't be around to see it.

if you have spoken to the labour board & the release letter is no problem...

there are many ways to get fired...

keep coming to work drunk
don't do any work
don't do any prep
be rude to everybody including students
make the students complain about you
come very late
dont come at all
etc
etc
etc

problem you have is that he will be without a teacher and that is bad.. he won't sack you on the spot most likely unless you are caught stealing or something else that has other problems associated with it..

it is difficult to get the ass like tomorrow..

try it and see how things go.. if it doesn't look good.. give him notice and you will be done in 4 weeks

you will be there for a few more weeks if he has no replacement teacher regardless of how bad you are (most likely)

best i have... good luck

Insult every kid's parents. You will be gone when all the angry fathers and mothers start calling in.

right now, I'm getting the labor board involved on a few issues related to insurance and pension, the tax office is getting a call tomorrow to make sure that at least some money is being paid there.

I'm considering freetalking topics like:
the sea of japan
america rocks-
quoting wyldes opinions on Korean food as my own
teachiing some new vocab. . Twisted Evil
these are last resorts

Where's the creativity?

First, before you do any of this... secure all of your belongings in a place that your director does not have access to.

Second, begin using class time to do whatever you want. Encourage the kids to run into the halls. Get that crossword puzzle that's been driving you crazy outta the way. Maybe have a beer or two... just relax.

Third, begin wearing progressively worse clothing to school. Either too skimpy, too dirty, or a combination.

Fourth, have pizzas delivered to the school and tell the pizza delivery guy the director ordered them.

Fifth, that stuff added up should probably do it. But if you want immediate dismissal, go for the public badmouthing of the school. One day, stand outside the school and pass out flyers about how bad the school is. Get them written in Korean if possible.

If you do decide to teach classes on swearing, keep us posted. I'd be interested in hearing how that turned out.

9:45 a.m., the hagwon director gets a call:

Hagwon director (HD): "Yoboseyo?"

Lunachick (LC): "Wazzzzaaaaaaap yellowmaaahn?"

HD: "Yoboseyo?"

LC: "Izzz me, ddongjangneeem - Suzie"

HD: "Aaaah, Shooogee, yes. Why you so late? Student alleddy waiting."

LC: "Sorry ddongjangnim, I had a little too much too drink at breakfast."

HD: "You drinkee too much!!! Aiguuu...ok, but you come soon ,ok?"

LC: "...and I made wild monkey love to this guy who calls himself 'Seoultrader'"

HD: "Seoultrader??? You fired.

Also, force the students to sing the "Tokdo is our land" (lit.) song which all should know but change it to "Ilbon ddang."

Begin/End classes by shouting "Tora Tora Tora" and throwing paper airplanes at the Korean flag mounted on the wall.

Something I heard someone try once...you bring in a copy of a release letter, all filled out correctly and dated to one month from today. Then you tell the director unless he/she signs it in the next 3 hours, you just don't teach, period. Then you leave and don't come back for 24 hours. Don't know if it works but it sounds good. Smile
