Hehe, that is an old one pulled out of a public school or some other public institution. The ones from my school were in very bad nick at the end of their lives, but these ones may have been refurbed.

How big is your house? These things stand about 1.90 high, and are about a meter wide front to back.

I agree, it seems like a pretty good deal (assuming it works well enough). It would be awesome for my garage back home to watch rugby, cricket and football on, but I wouldn't want it in my living room.

Oh, on second thought that might be a little over estimating. They are around the same height as me, and I'm 1.80. I will check for you, there are still a few in my school.

The dimensions are in the link posted.

가로 = width = 94.6-100cm for types 1-6(A-F), didn't notice the dimensions for type 7(G).

세로 = height = 1.24-1.30m for types 1-6.

깊 = depth = 50-60cm for types 1-6.

Definitely not space savers, but might be fine if your apartment is big enough.

Oh yea, that does sound dead on. Considering the ones at school sit on a half meter pedestal. Embarassed

Still they are massive.

You're going to pay another 35-50,000 for delivery and you gotta live in Seoul/Gyeong-gi. Otherwise sure, it's viable. They all have a VGA input and an s-video slot. If your laptop only has DVi output you can pick up an DVi-VGA adapter for a couple of bucks. You'll need to run audio out of your headphone jack too.
One of my friends got one of them for free when their school switched over to LCD or PDP models. Seemed to like it, but it was pretty dominant in their living room.

A total of 50 were shipped out from my two schools at the start of this year. Some second hand dealer probably puts in a tender for them, and has to haul them all away. They probably sold them for a tenner each or something.

I probably could have grabbed one, but it would have just been a hug pain in the ass. It would be ideal for the man cave I'm building in my parents garage.

It WOULD be sweet in a few years when they switch over the 50inch PDPs to 70 inch 3D LEDs, but the new ones seem to be a bit rubbish. After less than a year, many of them have sound issues, and the odd one half the screen will blank out, and one gets too hot by the end of the day and ceases to work entirely.
