Anyone heard of this place? Supposed to have some amazing fried chicken. I read a lot of great reviews for it online.
Problem is I can't find it. It's near Hongik Univ. Station, but there are conflicting directions on the websites which review the place, and even with their directions, they admit how hard it is to find.
So, I'm wondering if anyone has been here and if so where it's located.
Thanks. |

i can't remember exact directions, but there are actually two in the hongdae area. one closer to hongik univ station, the other closer to sangsu. i will say that i found it to be highly overrated, although the atmosphere is nice. it's just greasy with a lot of herbs and a weird garlic sauce.
i think it gets high marks because we come from the 'yelp' generation which tends to praise hip joints more than the food itself.
(just to give a counter review, because I also went there because of all the glowing praise about the place) |

"If you wanna check it out, go out of exit 2 at Hongdae station and walk straight towards the Rinnai building. If you walk for a bit, youll see a construction site and there should be a small Korean restaurant called 옴시롱 감시롱. Take a left into that alley and you cant miss it. It opens at 6. Get there early or you wont have a seat."
I googled for you. These directions are correct. You'll pass a gas station and keep going a bit. The alley you will go down will have buildings on the right (a couple restaurants) and jsut a construction wall on the left. If you walk more than 100 M without seeing reggae chicken on your right then you've gone down the wrong alley
It's one or two alleys before you reach the Rinnai building intersection. |

If they ever sell Rasta Pasta, there will be a mob scene. I bet they could get away with that for a good week or two before the fuzz caught on. |

remember to stay on the left side of the road (towards sinchon) and to take the second alley (the alleys are on either side of the subway extention construction), which is closer to the Rinnai bldg. You'll walk through an intersection and the construction will continue on your left. If it looks like nowhere you're in the right place, it's small and will be on your right. |
