It was featured on a show all about the world's spiciest cuisine about a year ago on MBC, which admirably admitted that Korean food is nowhere near the spiciest in the world.

They just used basic romanization for it: 고스트 페퍼.

If you're looking to get some here, good luck. I'd suggest trying at the Foreign Supermarket first? Maybe those guys have a line.

I'm growing a few, I just need to explain that when I buy soil and whatnot that it requires a different type of soil.
It's also good to explain when I give away as gifts, and if I ever sell them.

You won't be able to find them in a foreign food market, they are rare even in farmers markets and large grocers.

I had my seeds shipped in from India.

Anyone that wants to try some should check out this link though...
http://www.seedexplorers.com/front/php/product.php?product_no=404&main_cate_no=1&display_group=3

I can give tips on how to get them to germinate if anyone is interested in trying them.

Thanks for the link.

Sadly, they are out of both the Jalokia and Red Savina, and all of my calls to both the office phone and the cellphone of the sales rep go unanswered.

Any chance you would be willing to part part with some of your own seeds? (for a small fee of course Smile

A friend of mine grows some every year. I tried a small piece, maybe the size of half a dime. It was fine at first, then about 20 seconds into it it felt like my tongue was molten lava. Mouth was on fire for about an hour. I even drank about half a gallon of milk and a sleeve of saltines afterwards.

Proceed with caution. I like spice, i'll eat habenaro (spelling?) peppers. The ghost will kick your butt.
