I think most subway stations still have a passport photo machine.

would that be alright for a job application photo? i'm also supposed wear business attire in the photo, so i need to get someone to position the camera to see a bit of my blouse.

So you might need to go to an actual photographer.....a cheap neighborhood one. They're fairly common, but I don't know Myeong-dong well so can't help you there.

A few profile shots wouldn't cost too much....maybe 20,000....

Lots of local photo places will do it. If you see "여관" on a photo place that means passport. But I think a photo booth in a subway station would probably suffice, and likely be cheaper/easier.

Any photo place (look for the Kodak or Fuji signs) will do you a set for about 10k.

You can do them yourself in the photo booths for about 3-5k.

Walk a little to the east towards the Chungmuro area. Thats where all the camera (film) shops are at and there are a few studios (expensive) and quickie places (less expensive) that will do it for you.

Walk a little to the west towards the Namdaemun area. That's where all the camera (digital) shops are and there are a few studios and quickie places around there that will do it for you.

But like ttompatz said, the find the sign, that's the place. Most homeplus, emart, and lotte mart stores have a photo guy there. I know that the Emart at Yongsan station has one, had photos taken there, and I THINK that I saw a guy at the Lotte Mart at Seoul Station, both available on Line 4, no problem.

hate to be that guy, but 'yeogwan' [여관] is actually a korean inn, you meant 'yeogwon' [여권], which means passport.
