So I'm going back home soon and I got some gim from my co-teacher to give to my family as a gift before I come back. Then it occured to me that I might not be legally allowed to waltz into the US with these foodstuffs. Has anyone recently brought gim or any food back to the US and did you have to explain anything when you arrived? |

I understand fresh fruits and meats aren't allowed on many international flights. |

Fresh food (meat, fish, poultry, veggies or fruits, etc.) is not allowed.
Processed and packaged is fine (no bugs, bacteria or other nasties to bring into the country).
