Moving there next month, stop 416 (on the #4 line).
Has anyone been there or can give me any reviews? |

I live in Suyu, two stops north. About mia-3-gari
pros:
there's an e-mart and a shi-jang (wet market).
groceries (and shopping in general) are generally pretty cheap.
you're not too far from bukhansan if you like hiking
cons:
it is probably the most congested stop, human traffic wise, in northern seoul. i usually take the bus and it sometimes takes longer than five minutes to get through that stop.
not much nightlife to speak of (head to suyu, sungshin university, or hyehwa)
it's a generally bland working/lower middle class seoul neighborhood. there's not all that much to say about it. there used to be an all you can drink microbrewery, but no longer. |

| There was recently a thread on Gireum (which is nearby) you might want to check out. |

+1 sort of.
I live three stops away in Ssangmun.
It's a nice area, but like the above poster said, it is busy. There is some stuff to do, but not a ton. There is some decent shopping. But the real perk is that you are very close to everything in the northern part of the city (Dongdaemun, Myeongdong, Namdaemun and so on.) |

It's basically Iteawon for Korean men. Although I've heard they've clamped down on it lately. The area is famous for Red Light districts.
Despite this there are quite a lot of nice restaurants. I prefer Heywha which is a University area that has tons of great outdoor chicken hofs plus every Sunday there is a Pinoy market outside the Catholic church. |

And home to the most foreign-friendly bar/restaurant on Line 4 north, Comfort Zone (behind Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks, not to be confused with the one next to Starbucks which is comfortable, but has less foreigners). |

You're in luck, Miasamgori just opened up a Taco Bell!! Yeah!!
But really... to add to the others; it has a big CGV so you can catch a movie.
There is also a little whole in the wall bar that I like. It only seats about 15 and the prices are a little expensive but the guy that owns it has huge vinyl collection (and a computer), so you can make some requests. I think its called Rock N Roll bar.
Also, not far from Sangmoon where you can sit and hang out by the stream. Or take a trip up to Dangoggae and do a little hiking. |

Never knew lol. I hang out at 'Dart Play' right outside of Ssangmun station. The owner is awesome, drinks are dirt cheap, the staff is great, and the clientle is always very nice. There isnt a ton of foreigners that hang out there, but i have been trying to get some of my friends in the area to go more. |
