I went to the bank today - but no Englisheee. They gave me an Application for Remittance form.

What other stuff do I need when sending money home through Nyong Hup?

I'll take my passport, contract, and bank book. Anything else needed?

Any help appreciated.

I'm just surprised that you've been in Korea for five years and you've never done this before.

Alien card and home bank account information (SWIFT code, bank address, account number) would also be useful.

I've done this more times than I can remember. But everytime I get a new job it's with a new bank. And the buggers always want something different. Some banks are really good. You go through the nonsense for the first time - and then after you've registered with them there's no drama.

Do I still need my school's registration number?

I use Nong Hyup. All you need is your passport, bank card, and ARC. Bring a Korean friend to make it easier, though.

Your ARC states where you work, so that shouldn't happen.

Internet banking makes international transfers child's play.

What about transferring to multiple bank accounts using online banking?

Do you have to set up each account individually at the bank?

As an alternative, and disregarding the 3% or so in fees, what about PayPal?
