online tefl course?? experiences or advice PLEASE!!

as i am ending my second year and looking ot line up a job for my third, i am contemplating taking one of these online tefl courses from ITTT, I-to-I or bridge linguatec or somewhere.

have any of you taken such a course? they are 40 hours, over 6 months, offer lesson plans, etc. but most importantly i suppose, look good on a resume.

how do you think they would affect salary going into a third year from 2.2?

any advice or experiences appreciated.

I dont think the online courses are too reputable. Most employers that require TEFL certification want to see actual teaching practice with real students on site, which you get when you do a CELTA or TESOL certification.

Whatever you do don't choose i-to-i - their course is crap and is aimed at student travellers. This course I would recommend and you can do it fully online. It is also fully validated and recognised:

Yes but it's an optional extra in UK only. You might also want to consider TEFL International's PELT programme based in Korea which includes a-lot of practice and has a job guarantee at the end with a reputable school:
