hi, so i'm thinking about putting some cheeky applications in for uni's in august, at the point they are getting desperate and might take me. my visa runs out on august 24th and i assume they'd want me to start a similar time (if i am hired of course). is it possible to transfer the visa over the day it finishes without a letter of release? or do i need to get the letter of release like i've done when transferring visa's before?
if not, i've got the documents for a new E-2 visa, how quick can it be done? the application process that is? its taken over 2 weeks before, i dont really wanna chuck in decent job on a maybe for a better on. its gotta be certain.
cheers |

you cant transfer without the LOR and, yes, approx. a week or up to two to get an issuance number for a new visa.
