I have a Naver account. You need your ARC Number and a Korean friend to help you register. You also need to contact them with further details (fax your passport, etc). They can really be difficult for foreigners but best of luck. |

It's not hard. I registered last year--just need to use your ID# and have a cell phone number. Basic Korean skills are needed too. They'll send a secret number to your cell phone during the registration process, and once you enter that, you're good to go.
I'm sure if you google it you will find a step-by-step guide. Have fun. |

I managed with very low Korean skills just using google chrome, it translated some of the korean into understandable enough english. Start from the registration page and choose the icon that has a plane landing, that's for foreigners living in Korea. Some parts of the website have the images as text so chrome won't translate them, but you can pretty much just guess to tick all the boxes press next and you're done.
I didn't have to fax my passport, just receive a text to my phone. I just wanted a Naver ID to book something on a Naver cafe website so maybe I didn't need that level of membership. |

can you have only 1 Naver e-mail account?
Same for Nateon accounts?
I haven`t use either in a while but both accounts got spammed a lot (especially naver) so wondering if another one can be made? Or are you restricted to just 1 as it`s linked to your ARC? ..... |

I want to get my Korean friend to open one for me. Although I presume it would then be in her name...which would be pretty absurd.
Main reason I need a Korean email is to be able to send and recieve emails from Koreans.
Too many Koreans told me they didn't get the email I sent them. Korean servers block foreign emails. |
