I need advice on a new camera.
My old camera broke (Casio Exilim S7) and I wasnt really ever impressed with the camera anyway.
I need a new camera, but nothing insanely equipped. Just a solid point and shoot that takes good pictures will do.
The key factor though is I need to buy this camera in Korea. I dont have time (or energy) to deal with shipping fees or import taxes.
Any recommendations for a camera that I can buy in Korea that's solid but wont cost me an arm and a leg? |

How much are your arms or legs?
P&S cameras can set you back up to 600,000 if you want the hottest/newest item on the market.
Give a price range and I can list of some cams for ya. |

I'm not a photographer and dont do anything special with cameras other than take pictures and maybe short videos...so a sturdy point and shoot that takes good pictures is what I want.
The max I want to pay is probably $250USD...but I would prefer to keep it in the $180-$200 price range. |

Canon:
SD 780 IS
SD 1300 IS
SD 1200 IS
Sony:
W 350
W 330
Nikon:
Coolpix S570
Coolpix S4000
Coolpix S3000
Fuji:
Finepix Z70 Series (there are a few)
Annnnnd there are tons more. Those are the more popular ones in your price range. Nothing fancy.
Honestly, if you just want something simple, the best bet might be to go to Yongsan and shop around. Try out a few cameras. Get a price that works.
Just make a quick list of some Cameras and go there and try to find some that work well for you.
*Disclaimer: I have NO idea if the names of the cameras are different in Korea or if the prices are comparable.
Anyways, hope that helps a little. Good luck. |

It does help actually and thanks.
I think the Canon powershot numbers in Korea (and Japan) are different because they are labled ISUX.
Thanks again! |
