Are you a singer in Korea that can't find a place to show off your talents? Do you want something fun to do with a great group of people? Do you just want to sing? If so, join the Camarata Music Company's choir (and orchestra)!

The Camarata Music Company (CMC) is a non-profit organization focused on performing high quality performances, and enriching the lives of all musically. Along with a regular performance schedule of 3-4 major concerts every year, 1-2 musicals/operas, and many smaller performances, CMC also raises funds to support music programs in local orphanages and low-income areas, buying instruments and giving free lessons to those in need.

Our second half of the season is quickly approaching. Rehearsals for our September 4 concert of Brahms "Liebeslieder Walzer" (Love-song waltzes) and Rachmaninoff's Suite no. 2 for 2 pianos begin on July 25.

The Brahms concert will be followed by a December 18 performance of Handel's "Messiah". This concert is a once in a lifetime opportunity, as you get to sing under the baton of world famous choral conductor, Weston Noble (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Weston_Noble) (http://www.offenburger.com/guestpaper.asp?link=20050420). The concert will be complete with choir, orchestra, and soloists.

Rehearsals are on Sunday afternoons from 4-7 PM (with some sectionals scheduled from 3-4). all new members need to do a brief audition, which consists purely of some vocalizing. No need to prepare a song. As long as you can sing in tune, blend, and work well with others, you are welcome!

Those interested should contact Ryan at: [email protected] or 010-9806-8655, or Hee-Su at 010-2751-9675 (Korean speaking 한국어). For more information about the Camarata Music Company, check out our website at: http://www.camaratamusic.com.

Unfortunately I can't sing, but I can play the violin! I'm going to be moving to South Korea at the end of July and would like to play while I'm there. I checked out your website and I would be interested in performing with Camarata music company. Are auditions held throughout the year and do you need orchestra members? Thanks!
