For Sale: SAMSUNG SCX - 1455 (PRINTER / COPIER / SCANNER) color and black&white.
http://www.samsung.com/sec/system/consumer/product/2008/02/26/scx_1455/SCX-1455I_spec.jpg
I bought this upon my arrival in Korea in 2008. It is lightly used and comes with original packaging and manual (Korean) and also the installation disk. There is no physical damage (scratches etc) on the outside and there have never been any internal problems.
You can buy refill packs of ink that you inject into the cartridge which are around 20,000 for 5 refills, so, much cheaper than new cartridges. The refills I am speaking of are available in Emart and you just need to look for the printer model number on the box. New cartridges are also readily available in Korea. I will give you the refills I still have (one more fill for colour ink and 2 more fills for black ink). Plus the ink is full now as well.
One thing to note: it did not work with a friends apple computer (2008 macbook). On her computer the drop-down list for printer brands/models did not include Samsung so therefore it is incompatible. Maybe newer model Macs will support it but please check first.
I paid 85,000 won.
Sell for 40,000 not including postage.

Hi there,
We are interested. Do you know how many pages it scans a minute?
Thanks |

Hi. With regards to scanning the size is A4 and each page you want to scan you have to go through the process about where to save it. You use the printers scanning picture and then you can preview or just scan and choose color or b/w. Therefore you cant scan multiple pages.
The buttons on the body of the printer allow for photocopy in color or b/w without the computer plugged in. I used this feature a lot.
With regards to printing pages per minute I am going to guess as i honestly dont know where I would find a scientific ansewer. In b/w text only maybe 7-10 seconds per page. but pictures and color take longer. |

Hi,
Thanks for the reply. It's a pity it doesn't feature a one step scan and save function, since we would like to scan a few books. Maybe we can set that feature up on the computer somehow.
As far as the scanning speed is concerned, I guess I meant to ask how long it takes to scan a page. Most printers have the specs for scanning speeds depending on the size and whether the page will be in color or black and white. Perhaps you could scan a page and see how long it takes, just so we'd have a ballpark idea. 24 seconds is common now, and anything near to, or over, a minute is quite slow.
Thanks again. |

| just an aside: it should be able to scan faster, or at least not prompt for save path every scan, by using a different scanning program. such as Omnipage fine reader or adobe acrobat or aabbyy etc... |

I must say thank you for that. It's always appreciated when someone goes out of their way to offer some useful advice. We'll be sure to check it out. |
