Hello,
I got the official low down today from the embassy in Toronto and it would seem that all previous E2 visa holders, regardless of whether you had an interview or not initially, are exempt from interviewing for a Korean visa. At least that is the current policy.
Just thought I would share. Any thoughts or perhaps you have heard differently. |

That would seem to be the "logical" approach, but.......
Hopefully, that does happen, otherwise there will be a mass exodus of teachers here. If people already here are forced to leave in order to comply with new regulations, it makes you wonder if they'll return.
The FBI check sounds reasonable (8-12 weeks kinda reasonable), but a notarized copy of your diploma from the state the University is located? You're kidding, right?
Good times. |

It's been like that for quite a while. I have never had an interview. I got my first E2 way back when the rules were very lax. I got my most recent visa in Japan. No interview. |
