|
|
Hey
I have a single entry E-2 visa and have been told that when i go to Beijing in July I can get my visa stamped and changed to Multiple Entry at the airport in Incheon... I just want to make sure this info is correct, how long it takes at the airport and if so how much does it cost? (UK passport holder)
Cheers in advance! |

You cannot get a multiple re-entry permit at the airport. They will only issue single re-entry permits at the airport, cost 30,000 krw. If you cant make it to the immigration office, I believe you can apply for a multiple entry permit online at HiKorea for 50,000 krw. |

Your information is somewhat incorrect.
You can only get a multiple re-entry permit from your LOCAL immigration office (the one that issued your ARC). You CAN apply for it at the SAME TIME that you apply for your ARC and save yourself the time and trouble of doing it later.
You CAN get a single use re-entry permit at the airport. They are 30k won and you can get them as often as you need them (each time you travel).
The immigration office in the airport is located behind the checking counters (F and H) in a small hallway along the back wall of the departures level (before you go through security).
It usually takes 15-30 minutes to get your re-entry permit but can take longer at peak times (like XMAS).

Thanks, so it looks like i can just turn up and get a re entry stamp on my visa then.
Also, I notice the price to be 30,000 but I'm told it's free for UK passport holders? Any truth in this?
Cheers! |

I got a re-entry permit online, all of it done from the comfort of my school desk during working hours. Not sure of the website (try googling), but I applied for the permit, did a bank transfer, and about a week later got a pdf file I printed off and showed at immigration with my passport and ARC. Was really easy to take care of... |

when you got your PDF - was it just a few lines with your name and status as granted?
i've just received an email with no PDF showing my name, processed status, issuing authority and that's about it.
no visa/ARC/or any numbers on my email, doesn't seem like the type of thing immigration would accept |

It was a while ago so I don't really remember, but it was a pretty official looking document with Korean and English on it. Sorry I can't help much more... |

I have a question, and it seems really stupid but I have to ask it anyway. I am headed to Bali on Wednesday for my vacation, and I know I have to get a single re-entry permit at the airport before I go. However, do I go get this before I check in at the check in counter? I know it's before security, but I would assume I can't check in without having the single re-entry permit correct?
Thanks for your help! |

Get the stamp first. Make sure you have 30,000 in cash for the stamp, but that's not a big deal cuz there's ATMs.
It only takes a few mins, but make sure you have enough time. |
