What are some good places to meet people? I have been here a week and have only met my co-workers. They are okay but I would like to meet people outside of work.
I live in the mokdong area. With the summer break coming up I would like to start getting to know other people. My korean is nonexistant so meeting people who do not speak english is difficult. |

Join Meetup.com groups, for starters. Bungee Jumping knocked my socks off. |

bars, meetup groups, facebook groups, etc. Facebook actually helped me a lot--on it I found a book club in my area, met some cool people, started hanging a lot, met more people. |

I met people through this site. I've met people that I found out who use this site and people that they knew that I had met previously...
...in bars.
And the occasional Korean who wants English lessons for free, but pretend to be your friend.
And ladies in bars.
And ladies of the night at their workplace.
And various, older Koreans outside convenience stores. Like the really older guys who are more haraboji than ajossi.
And restaurant owners. Get to know your restaurant owners.
And... |
