Ok, so I know that F4 applicants don't need transcripts or diploma for getting the F4 visa.
But I would obviously need them for the employer, so...when should I contact my university to get them? Right now while I'm still searching for jobs and have no idea where I will work, or should I order them once I've gotten an offer? Once I get an offer I would be able to have my university send them directly to the employer.
how many copies would you recommend getting?
I was thinking I should get 2 copies of a notarized diploma, and 2 official sealed transcripts?
They are quite pricey from my university. |

You should just get all of the documents together before you find a job. For me, once I actually found a position, I needed to scramble to get all of my documents together right away so I wish I would have gotten them ahead of time.
You can just ask your university to issue sealed transcripts. I ordered 3 copies of my transcripts just in case, but only ended up needing one. I don't think you'll need two notarized copies of your diploma, but I suppose it wouldn't hurt to have an extra copy just in case. Your employer may also ask you to get a criminal background check. |
