Hey, I'm moving to SK next month, and will be working at Avalon's Suji campus. I was just wondering if anyone knew much about this place. What kind of working conditions/ housing etc...
thanks |

I don't work at Avalon but I have lived and worked in Suji for a little over 3 years now. I used to know a couple people who worked there and they never seemed to have any complaints except that it's too big. It's one of the major chains over here and it seems like all the students that leave our Hagwon go over there or to JLS.
I love living in Suji, it's a quiet medium sized town with Seoul only 35 minutes away if you want the big city action.
If you have any other specific questions about Suji let me know. |

You will be living in Charmant... it is an officetel that is home to about 40-50 foreigners usually. The staff at Avalon in Suji represented about 20-23 of those people and the crowd living there is usually pretty decent. I thought the housing was pretty good myself.
Do you work at the elementary, middle, or nokjiwon campus? Elementary is 2:30 to 9:30 (or was last year) and the other 2 are 3:30 to 10:30 or so. Working conditions are good, your always paid on time and will probably only teach about 20-25 hours a week.
As far as hagwons go, you landed yourself a good one imo. |

I also live in Suji-gu although now that I'm here I would rather be in Seoul, but it's close enough that it's not that big of a hassle. |
