Back in NYC where I'm from, it can be pretty pricey. I love how the Ho Bars here and many other places sell bottles of Absolut for around 60k and it comes with a fruit plate etc.. Good deal compared to how much you would pay in NYC.
What's the deal with bottles/tables at clubs here though? Anyone ever do it anywhere and if so how much was it? Did you have to book in advance or could you get it that night? Looking to have a blowout for my last night here. THanks. |

| I've got it a few times at a couple of different clubs here in Daegu. In one of the nicer clubs, it was about 100K for a bottle of JD and some anju. Wayyy cheaper than anything you would find in any club back home. No reservation any time I've gotten it. Just ask for a booth or even if you order a bottle at the bar, they'll setup a booth/table for you. I've always been with waegookin and never had any problems. But most of my friends speak decent Korean so we've never had any communication problems or anything like that. I imagine the nicer clubs in Seoul, especially in apgujeong, are more expensive, but probably not anything close to what you would find in nyc/tor/etc. |

For a really trendy/hot club you will have to call ahead and you have to know the waiter or person in charge of bottle service. When you go there you proceed to a VIP/Bottle service line where you will get entry for your group (and possibly a wrist band if its a separate area). If they don't know you/you are not Korean, you will have to have a Korean friend speak to people who run bottle service, unless its a small table/non-VIP area where you can just order from your waiter.
Some of the trendiest places these days have promoters who speak English these days (usually girls). They will probably take your credit card as well if they don't know you/you are not Korean. Otherwise the bill comes later on. (Also they might take your phone/facebook and will email/call you afterward to see if you're coming down every week so be prepared for that...).
I think its not a lot cheaper, but not like $400/bottle in NYC/L.A. Figure at least 150-200 bottle, but it depends on whether there's a special. Probably negotiable depending on the place/whether its a weekend/busy. Remember that hard alcohol that is not whisky is priced 2-3x as much as the U.S. because of import duties (i.e. Jack Daniels, Tequilla) so expect high prices for Grey Goose, etc. |

I miss reverse bottle service back home- Bringing in a bottle and flipping the bartender a fat tip to keep it under the shelf for me.
That's right folks, the only Rebel Yell in a bar in Ann Arbor and its all mine.
Boo Korean bars. Fun places to feel trendy. Lame for getting your drink on and being a regular at.
To the OP-
Bars in smaller towns usually have bottles ready to go. It'll cost you though. Stupid prices- 90,000 for Scotch Blech. 180,000 for Jack.
Why can't Korea have bottles of Old Crow or Ten High for us cheap drunks.
That and some Bulleit would be nice. Or Rebel Yell. |

THanks for the replies. Seems like it will be tough unless I have a Korean with me.
Anyone with any other info or specific places in Seoul, I welcome the feedback. |

PM me. I can find out prices and get you set up at just about any major club in the city, as long as you give me a couple of days notice. |
