Hello,
I am changing universities in the fall. The person who was helping me with my contract/visa, etc, just never answers my emails, and now I was put on a mass mailing saying, "Bye everyone, I'm going to go do my MA in another country."
I was hired in early June at a very good uni for the fall, and was told that my contract would come in early July. I'm still waiting, and sent another urgent email to the replacement administrator, but as of one day, no answer.
I was under the impression that the university would be doing my visa. We had decided I would just stick with an E2, and she told me I needed to get a release which I did, but then I thought she was going to do everything from there. Is this how things are normally done--the unis process the visas? I'm supposed to be leaving in 2 weeks for a vacation, and not a peep in a couple of weeks, still no contract.
Thanks for any insight...
P.S. The last minute stuff is probably the hardest thing for me to deal wih in Korea. So tired of it and wondering if I made a mistake staying. |
