| Could someone recommend a place to stay in Seoul, preferably near the US embassy? I prefer something inexpensive, but since I'll have my wife and young son with me, I also need a safe place to stay. Anyone knowledgeable of the area, please point me in the right direction. Much appreciated... |

I booked a room at the koreana hotel from booking.com
nice room, I got a weird room with one double and one single bed (good for your needs!) not far from the US embassy, infact 2-300metres away?
Wasn't over the moon expensive, but not love motel cheap! |

| My Dad and I stayed at the Daewoon Motel ( http://www.daewoomotel.com/eng/htm/company_info.htm ) when he came to visit. It's right downtown. Small place, a little tricky to find (be sure and print out the map), but a good deal and the owner is a nice guy who speaks very good English. You could easily walk to the Embassy, or take a really, really short cab ride. It's behind the Seoul Plaza hotel...just a 5 minute walk to City Hall, which is another 5 minutes to the Embassy. |
