The religious side is non consequential, I was much more interested in the social and political ramification of his act. I remember the history surrounding assassination of King Ferdinand that started WW I . I just find such things to be very interesting.

I don't wish for war, but I' certainly find it interesting that one man, exercising a constitutional right, can raise such eire, as to have half of the worlds population writhing in massive amounts of fury. I think it would have enlightened many of us, on how others see western ideas of Freedom of Expression, and simultaneously, the idea of a book being so important, that to destroy it is tantamount to murder.
