Lots of buses go through Yeongwol as I understand.
From the main station and Gangnam.

thanks

looks like i will have no problem getting there then.... had a look at the two official web pages and it seems very clear how to get to all the sights etc - but no mention of accommodation ....

Am I right to assume it will be easy to find a love motel near the bus station - or does someone know perhaps something a little more scenic near the sites ???

thanks in advance.......

spent the weekend there. A few neat things to see. The Valley of Kim Sagat, the Gossi Caves, Seondol, Seonam-maeul, Cheongryeongpo - where the child King Danjong was exiled by his uncle. I didn't get to see the observatory.

despite quite a bit of research - cannot find much on accommodation - so I am going to assume we will be able to get a love motel by the bus station

looks like these are the sites to see:

http://www.ywtour.go.kr/eng/CMSView.php?pid=591

We are gonna be there for 2/3 days - any advice on what order to see these in so we are not going back and forth to downtown yeongpol ???

thanks a lot

also - is it possible to reserve seats for the bus ?

cheers

I have stayed in a little B&B owned by this sweet old couple in the Valley of Kim Satgat. I was really nice. I will see if i can find the card from it at home.

I hope this reply isn't too late, but..check out the Byulmaro Astronomical Observatory! I went there in the dead of winter in a blizzard that caused our taxi drive to ricochet off the stone walls of the switchback, so I didn't get to look out the telescope, but it's the largest one in Korea so I highly recommend checking it out.
