Hello everyone!
I'm trying to plan a vacation to Boracay in the Philippines (departing from Incheon airport) and I've been doing some research, but I wanted to get somethings clear:

If I take a flight straight to Manila can I just charter a domestic flight from Manila to Kalibo at Manila's airport or do I have to book both flights at the same time? Can I buy roundtrip tickets there?

From Kalibo airport I would take a bus to Caticlan Harbor and then from Caticlan to Boracay? Right? Confused

I hope my questions don't sound too..er..noobish..but, if anyone who has experience traveling to Boracay could just give me the run down on what how to travel to and from Boracay I would really appreciate it. The last thing I want is to be stuck in a foreign country (I can barely navigate my way in Korea sometimes, my traveling skills are remedial at times... Embarassed )

From Manila you can:

catch a flight to Kalibo on any of:
Zest air,
Air Phils
Philippine air
cebu pacific

and then catch a v-hire (van/bus) up to caticlan.

OR

Catch a flight direct from Manila to caticlan on SEA air ( http://www.flyseair.com/ ).

From Caticlan you catch a boat over to Boracay. They all land at the new pier now so you will need to take a trike or multi-cab to your resort from there. The bankas don't go to the boat stations anymore.

You can book on-line ahead of time or purchase when you get there.

^^I did this. Keep in mind once to get to Kailbo you have about a 3 hour journey ahead of you. And you will have to walk out into the water to catch your boat (wear flip-flops). Let me know if you need any ideas on what to do there. I stayed there for 2 weeks last August.

SEAir is pricey, too. Try to get into Caticlan flying PAL; the earlier and later flights are the cheapest.

After the other airlines skidded a couple planes off the end of the runway in Caticlan the only one currently using the airstrip (other than private charters) is SEAAir (unless there was a policy change in the last month and I missed it).

They might want to look into some of the SEAir air/hotel package deals from Manila. Not quite as cheap as doing it yourself but a whole lot more convenient.

Yeah, definitely just fly into Caticlan and then take the boat over. It's less of a hassle that way.

PAL flies to Caticlan -- its Web site has Caticlan as a ticketing option.

Cebu Pacific said before that flights to Caticlan may be redirected to Kalibo anyways. Then they said they have guaranteed flights to Caticlan.

I guess that would really suck if you paid for a Caticlan ticket and then landed in Kalibo. Rolling Eyes

Yes, since Caticlan tickets are more expensive and have a smaller luggage restriction.

I flew into Caticlan and although it's been a while it seemed like the pier was only a 5 minute shuttle bus ride from the airport. It was quit close. I think it'd be a drag to have to fly further south and then spend another 3 hours on a bus to get to Boracay.

It's not three hours, more half of that.
