| Who has seen it? This had been near the top of my list of unseen classics for going on two decades now and I finally watched it the other night. Wow. Sooo much better than I'd hoped, and sooo different. I knew it was one of the "greats" and that it was Robert Mitchum's big role, and I'd seen some clips, but I had no idea. It was the tone that really got me. I have never seen anything quite like it. |

| Right on. Pretty cool. That scene can be off-putting and cause snickers if you're watching the movie expecting realism. But if you buy into the fairy-tale/children's story vibe, yowza, it's right out of a nightmare! |
