I thought I had an idea of it's release date in Korea (July 27th, as anywhere else), but then, for the first time, I see a TV commercial for the game on TV last night, with it ending by saying the 27th is (apparently) the start of a beta?

Confusing. And, I'd have posted this on Battle.net but their website isn't working. Or maybe it's my computer. Either way it isn't working.

No, July 27th should be right.

I've been a beta tester for the Korean version and the US version since phase 1, 2 months ago. The beta test is officially over.

It is a good game. Zerg are still a bit weak but they will continue balancing the game.

The SK economy is probably going to lag for a few days after the game is released...hehehe

Not if you're in the PC-bang business!

I've been in the Beta for about 4 months so that's definitely not right.

Hope you like Starcraft 1 a whole lot, because this game is exactly the same. It's like the last 12 years of developments in strategy games never happened. Still, the competitive community will lap it up Smile

Good good, and yes it was odd to see them advertising a beta, considering the beta has been going on for a long while. I watch those videos online. Definitely aware of the existing beta.

Hmmm...so, the 27th it is. I just thought there'd be more....buzz, in Korea about it. Although I live in a smaller town, but even then, I'd think the PC Bangs would have had cheezy cardboard cutouts strewn about for the months preceding the release date. Then again maybe the PC Bang I go to is just ultimately lame.

Sounds good. Next I'll ask if they'll actually have the game when it's released.

Andddddd, wouldn't you know it, in the four days I didn't visit the local PC bang, cardboard cutouts and other advertisements have been adorned, and I confirmed with the owner that the 27th is indeed the day it comes out, and is available on all of the computers.

Rad.

Thread. Closed.
