My apartment came with a fairly large TV sst and a DVD player, all connected and wired. But I am having a little bit of a hard time figuring out how to get the DVD player output to show up on the TV screen. I'm probably dense, but I'm also new and can't read the Korean on the remote controls or the on-screen menus.

In the U.S., you generally have to tune the television set to broadcast (not cable) channel 3 in order to play DVDs: What is the correct channel here?

Im guessing you hooked it up through 3 Audio(red, white) and video(yellow) cords. In that case you wouldnt want your TV on a channel. Hit the TV/VIDEO button. Look for 티비/비디오 or maybe just video (비디오). THere should be a video button on your TV as well as the remote. Good luck.

Thanks, that is helpful. (As to the other poster's comment, I understand perfectly well about DVD regions, and I'm talking about playing a Korean DVD.)

The button might also be called something like 외부입력 (external input) which will tog between TV, DVD and PC...
